Pilatesmith opened its doors in December 2018 and has quickly become one of the most popular Pilates studios on the westside with locations in Santa Monica and Culver City. Known for their tough, Athletic Pilates style, they attract a clientele that wants to work hard and push their limits. Pilatesmith levels their workouts and offers mostly advanced-level workouts for Pilatesmiths. TRAINER

The Role

Pilatesmith is seeking an experienced, personable, and highly-motivated Trainer to teach Reformer classes and Privates. The ideal candidate will love the energy of a Group room and the intimacy of teaching Private sessions. This person can flex from beginner to advanced, and loves pushing clients to get stronger and progressing to the next level. If you are a well-rounded Pilates Trainer with a bright personality who enjoys working in a lively, upbeat studio, you’d be a great addition to our Team!

Requirements & Description

  • Holds a certificate of completion from a Pilates Certification program

  • Minimum of 1 year experience programming and teaching sessions on a Pilates Mat

  • Carries Professional Liability Insurance policy (up to $1,000,000) and keeps policy up to date

  • Develops athletic Group Workouts that are appropriate for the format

  • Develops custom workouts tailored to Private client's needs and goals

  • Instructs exercises effectively, paying attention to safety and risk factors, and modifying moves when appropriate

  • Understands Pilatesmith Workout Arch and applies it when teaching Group Workouts (training will be provided)

  • Ensures that equipment is used properly, keeps equipment clean and well maintained

  • Helps build and retain business

  • Provides a comfortable and positive environment for Pilatesmith Clients and maintains a professional and honest relationship with the Owner and other Team Members

  • Is reliable and consistent

  • Allows Trainees of the Trainer Certification program to observe sessions

STUDIO ASSOCIATE

The Role

Pilatesmith is seeking a highly motivated and personable Studio Associate to help with client service and studio operations. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in a hospitality, customer service, or sales role and enjoy interacting with people, have strong communication skills, is an independent thinker, and be able to prioritize and multi-task. If you have a bright personality and are a self-starter, you’ll be a great addition to our Team! 

Description & Requirements

  • Opens/closes the studio and manages Welcome Desk operations during the shift

  • Uses MindBody booking software for scheduling, purchasing, and schedule management (MindBody training provided)

  • Has strong communication skills, specifically communicating promptly, clearly, and professionally via email, phone, text, and in-person

  • Able to independently make decisions that allow for a high-level of customer service

  • Learns studio pricing, policies, procedures, and promotions and enforcing them

  • Sharing and selling services to prospective new clients to build business

  • Manages schedules, late cancels, and no-shows and applies appropriate fees

  • Keeps studio supplies stocked and the studio clean 

  • Accurately and completely fills out Shift Reports, uses checklists, maintains ops docs, and completes sidework

  • Notifies Owner of any incidents or studio needs same-day

  • Supports with various tasks that may arise 

  • Is reliable and consistent
