ABOUT PILATESMITH

Pilatesmith opened its doors in December 2018 and has quickly become one of the most popular Pilates studios on the Westside, with locations in Santa Monica and Culver City. Named by The LA Times, Angeleno Magazine, and Modern Luxury as one of the best Pilates studios in Los Angeles, Pilatesmith is known for its tough, Athletic Pilates style.

MAT PILATES TRAINER

Pilatesmith is seeking an experienced, personable, and highly-motivated Trainer to teach Mat Pilates classes at their Culver/Mar Vista location. The ideal candidate will love pushing clients to their max and can fill a room with their presence. Qualifications & Credentials

  • Hold a certificate of completion from a recognized Pilates certification program

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience programming and teaching Pilates Mat sessions

  • Maintain an active Professional Liability Insurance policy with coverage of at least $1,000,000

Instruction & Safety

  • Instruct exercises clearly and effectively, prioritizing client safety and risk awareness

  • Modify exercises as needed to accommodate injuries, limitations, and varying experience levels

  • Ensure equipment is used properly and kept clean and well maintained

Programming Standards

  • Develop workouts appropriate for the Mat format (training provided)

  • Follow and apply the Pilatesmith Workout Arch when programming (training provided)

Professionalism & Client Experience

  • Create a comfortable, positive, and inclusive environment for Pilatesmith clients

  • Maintain professional, respectful, and honest relationships with the Owner and Team Members

  • Demonstrate reliability and consistency in scheduling, attendance, and performance

Business & Team Contribution

  • Support client retention and overall studio growth through high-quality instruction and professionalism

  • Allow trainees in the Athletic Pilates Trainer Certification program to observe sessions as requested

STUDIO ASSOCIATE

Pilatesmith is seeking a highly motivated and personable Studio Associate to help with client service and studio operations. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in a hospitality, customer service, or sales role and enjoy interacting with people, have strong communication skills, is an independent thinker, and be able to prioritize and multi-task. If you have a bright personality and are a self-starter, you’ll be a great addition to our Team! 

Description & Requirements

  • Opens/closes the studio and manages Welcome Desk operations during the shift

  • Uses MindBody booking software for scheduling, purchasing, and schedule management (MindBody training provided)

  • Has strong communication skills, specifically communicating promptly, clearly, and professionally via email, phone, text, and in-person

  • Able to independently make decisions that allow for a high-level of customer service

  • Learns studio pricing, policies, procedures, and promotions and enforcing them

  • Sharing and selling services to prospective new clients to build business

  • Manages schedules, late cancels, and no-shows and applies appropriate fees

  • Keeps studio supplies stocked and the studio clean 

  • Accurately and completely fills out Shift Reports, uses checklists, maintains ops docs, and completes sidework

  • Notifies Owner of any incidents or studio needs same-day

  • Supports with various tasks that may arise 

  • Is reliable and consistent
