Our formats are built on proven fitness principles so you can book your workout with your fitness goal in mind, or simply choose based on what feels right that day.

Our Group Workouts are leveled and we prioritize advanced-level classes on our schedule for Pilatesmiths. We recommend working your way up to Pilatesmith-level formats, then mixing it up across the system to stay balanced, challenged, and engaged - without plateauing or burning out.

We teach Group Workouts with our signature Athletic Pilates style that’s fast, physical, and fitness focused. We recommend you level down for your first workout and go from there. Carefully read the class description before booking to make sure the format and level seem right for you. It's expected you know how to use the equipment and know how to modify if needed - if this doesn’t sound like you, start with Private Training.


Pilatesmith is a Pilates studio with an Athletic Pilates style, serving Santa Monica, Los Angeles, and nearby neighborhoods including Ocean Park, Sunset Park, Venice Beach, Wilshire Montana, and North of Montana. Whether you're a seasoned Pilates enthusiast or new to the practice, our leveled workouts deliver the intensity you're looking for.

  • Group Pilates Workouts: Our group classes are taught with an Athletic Pilates style that makes every class tough and fast for the level! It’s the toughest Pilates workout in Santa Monica! We offer Reformer Pilates.

  • Private Training: Perfect for anyone at any level who wants customized workouts to maximize results! 

  • Advanced Pilates Classes: For those who are advanced in their practice and looking to take things to the next level. 

  • Intermediate Pilates Classes: Perfect for those who want a good workout but don’t consider their skill or fitness levels to be advanced.

  • Beginner Pilates Classes: Appropriate for those who are familiar with the Pilates Reformer but not our Athletic Pilates style. We move at a pace that’s challenging for beginners, so expect to break a sweat.

I’ve tried pretty much every workout studio on the Westside and Pilatesmith is by far the best Pilates studio around! Love that there are different class options - from control and tempo to cardio, when you really want to sweat (combo of TRX). Each one is challenging and buttkicking in the best way. The studio is always clean and Jessica the owner always greets everyone with a smile!
